'Dad Designed' Nursery and Toddler Room Design Board

Dads have great style, too, and in the modern space, it's easy to let a little masculinity show through. In this week's design board, the room centers around the fairly new Jennifer Delonge Daddy Lounger in Premium Linen shown in Steel. The clean lines of the chair are reinforced by the ultra sleek Spot on Square Roh Collection - the Roh Crib in walnut and the Roh dresser and additional changing tray, also in walnut. Next the pop of color comes in with Skip Hop's Mod Dots 4 piece crib set. The red is highlighted with a P'kolino Storage Ottoman that makes for great additional seating and a place to hide-a-way all of babies toys. The dots are also replicated in a little functional wall art - Oras Pukas Wall Clock with orange hands. Speaking of functionality, the 4Moms Mamaroo Bouncer (shown in Silver Fireworks Plush) satiates Dad's need to infuse every room in the house with technology by serving as the most modern rocker/bouncer on the market, complete with a iPod port to sooth baby with his own playlist. It wouldn't be a Dad's room if there weren't some toys thrown in! Plan Toys Wooden Drum Set serves double duty as a learning accessory and a decorative showpiece.  And to light up the whole room, an Oilo Studio Cylinder Chandelier in Pewter hangs from the ceiling and perfectly matches the grays and reds.

Introducing ModernNursery Design Boards

We are revamping the blog to bring you more of what you want to see...great looking modern nurseries and all you need to put them together. This installment is the first of our new series, 'ModernNursery Design Boards,' where we will feature complementing products that make for a nursery that pops. Let us know what you think and be sure to tell us how you are using these elements in your own nursery...photos encouraged!

This seasons hottest colors, subtle tones of grey and yellow punched up with aquas and blues. Start with the right foundation and the focal point of the room - the Oeuf Sparrow Crib in Grey. Next, add your own style with the New Arrivals Urban Zoo 3 piece Crib Set. Showcase the yellows in the bedding set with the Viewpoint Kids Eloise Saffron Area Rug and pull it all together with the DwellStudio Thompson Glider in Linen Blue. Don't forget to accessorize by complementing the polka dots in the crib set with avalisa Bubbles Wall Art and adding some whimsy with the Offi My Pet Lamp-Siamese.
